Rex Procter & Partners are pleased to announce that, with effect from Monday 1 September 2008, Karen Sandford, Chris Snee, Andrew Wharton and Alex Blenard have been promoted to Partner
 

These promotions continue our policy of succession planning from within at both the Leeds and Bradford Office. Karen, Chris, Andrew and Alex have been an integral part of our team for many years and have in excess of 30 years experience within the Partnership. These promotions reinforce our commitment in continuing to offer senior level involvement on all our projects for all our clients. .

Rex Procter & Partners have nominated Sue Ryder Care as their Charity for 2008.

Sue Ryder Care provides compassionate care and support for people living with serious illnesses and conditions, as well as their family and loved ones.

The Practice will be hosting a series of events throughout the year, including dress-down days, bad tie days, charity raffles and sponsored events.

In September one of the Partners, Mark Watson, will be attempting to climb Mont Blanc as a sponsored event which, at 4,807 m, is the highest mountain in Western Europe.

25 Years at RPP!
 

Sue Mantinan celebrates 25 years at Rex Procter & Partners with a celebratory lunch shared with 15 current and former colleagues. Sue and her guests enjoyed a sumptuous feast comprising: melon starter, steak and mushroom pie with seasonal vegetables and lemon meringue pie.

Sue has seen many changes during her time at Rex Procter & Partners and, despite the practic e growing in size, feels that the business is still as friendly as it always has been.

  PROJECT NEWS: UNIVERSITY OF YORK  
The Practice is extremely pleased to have gained a place on the University's Framework for the next 3 years, as one of the three Cost Consultants.
 

The Framework is expected to deliver about £200m of capital work over the 3 year term of the Agreement.

Rex Procter & Partners had prior to the Framework, a successful working relationship with the University. The Framework now provides an opportunity to further enhance this.

The University is currently heavily engaged in the first phase of the Heslington East Campus as well as actively carrying out refurbishment, infrastructure work and some new buildings on the existing campus.

  PROJECT NEWS: VICTORIA MILLS  
Rex Procter & Partners were commissioned to act for Newmason Properties on the new-build element of their prestigious Victoria Mills Development in Shipley. In September 2007 the first phase of the new-build, comprising 113 apartments was completed and the second and final phase of 167 apartments is now ahead of programme with completion expected by September 2008.
 

Victoria Mills has already won a number of prestigious awards including:-

  • Best Large Development in the North of England and Wales (Premier Property Awards 2007)
  • Best Overall Developer (Premier Property Awards 2007)
  • Best Redevelopment (Daily Mail UK Property Awards 2007)
  • Best Apartment Development (Yorkshire's Finest Property Awards 2007)

The development is situated on the Banks of the River Aire and the edge of Saltaire World Heritage Centre. In total, 447 new creaftsmen-built luxury homes are to be provided, all within a gated and sustainable modern community.
