Our History
Rex Procter & Partners was founded in 1937 by Rex Procter in 24 Queen Street, Leeds. Prior to setting up his own practice, Rex was involved with developing an innovative system of housebuilding using a system of pre-cast concrete slabs, and worked as a quantity surveyor on the Blue Nile canal system. A Freeman of Kingston-upon-Hull, Councillor for Wetherby Rural District Council and Chairman of Leeds Rugby League Club, Rex was active in the local community, and his values continue to be upheld by the Directors today.
The business converted to a private limited company in 2010. We have built up our experience and client base to become one of the largest construction consultants and quantity surveying practices in the North of England, operating on a national basis.
We are able to provide services nationally including Quantity Surveying and Cost Management, Project Management, Employer's Agent, Building Services and Contract Services.
